Our Purpose

- Leading souls to Christ.
- Encouraging young people called of God into Christian service.
- Building up the spiritual life of its members through fellowship and the studying of the Scriptures.
- Spreading the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth.

Our Commitment

is to obey The Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and to obey The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our church was started from a Bible Study in 1800. We are a rural church sharing the Gospel message for the past 207 years.

We serve rural Albany county. The Lord has given us a 16,000 square foot facility, which includes a gymnasium, nursery, commercial kitchen and classroom to be used for various ministries.

We minister to the entire family, desiring to add one family at a time to our church family. We offer Sunday and weekday programs to strengthen and help the family. All of our programs are open to everyone.

* Children's church is a vital part of the morning worship at First Baptist. We offer young children an opportunity to learn about God age appropriately in a fun manner. Children in grades 1 to 4 attend the first half of Sunday morning worship with their families. They are then dismissed during the second hymn and gather in one of the church rooms.
