The congregation of First Baptist Church of Westerlo, welcomes you to our site. We hope that you find the information here helpful. This church exists to Glorify God. We believe that we are made solely to be in a personal relationship with Him and to recognize Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We strive to bring glory to God through singing and praying together, hearing and studying His Word, loving Him, and loving one another.

First Baptist is actively engaged in winning, building, equipping, and multiplying disciples for the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is our purpose to be:

-Leading people to personal knowledge of Jesus Christ

-Encouraging young people called of God into Christian service

-Spreading the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth

-Building up the spiritual life of people through fellowship,

worship and the commitment to God's word

We are a rural church that was started from a bible study in 1800. As part of sharing the Gospel message for the past 200+ years, our commitment is to obey the Lord Jesus Christ through His word:

The Great Commandment:

Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with

all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest

commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Matthew 22:37-40

AND

The Great Commission:

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the

name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching

them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with

you always, to the very end of the age."
